Relevant Experience
Peggy Liu commenced her legal practice with Messrs. Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong. She later on founded her own law firm, Messrs. Fung & Liu, where she was the Managing Partner for 12 years. In 2004, Peggy merged her legal practice with K. C. Ho & Fong, a firm of solicitors and notaries, headquartered in Hong Kong and with representative offices in China and remains an active Senior Consultant with the company.

Peggy specializes in real estate, banking and project finance and has expanded her practice in China, advising on joint venture projects and land transactions in cities like Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan as well as cross-border litigation secured by properties and developments.

She has sat on the Board of a public company since its listing in 1994. The company concerned engages in China trade and manufacturing with offices in Hong Kong and the US, factories in China and exports to the US and Australia.

She has been appointed by the Hong Kong Government to sit on both the Investigative and Disciplinary Panels of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has participated in the Hong Kong Government’s think-tank, the Central Policy Unit on a part-time basis. She was also appointed by the University of Oxford as an advisor to the University’s Oxford China Office. In November 2012, Peggy was invited by the President of the Global Summit of Women, a Washington lobbyist for female rights and leadership, to participate as a panel speaker in the Legacies of Women Forum together with other female leaders such as Laura Cha, Member of the Executive Council in Hong Kong and Umran Beba, the President of PepsiCo in Asia Pacific Region.
